On January 12-13, 2019, the Steering Committee met to discuss FAR’s strategies, priorities, and activities for the 2019-2020 period. The Alliance reaffirmed its engagement on the priority theme of women and peace (WP) from a feminist perspective, with specific attention to gender-based violence (GBV) and sexual and reproductive rights. The meeting was held in conjunction with a regional consultation convened by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership (CWGL), the Global Coordinator of FAR, along with ABAAD (MENA region), and the Women and Media Collective (WMC) (South Asia region).
